School Milk List is a service of FAO's Trade and Markets Division<http://www.fao.org/economic/est/est-commodities/dairy/school-milk/en/>

Dear Members,

As the messages on World School Milk Day have just about come to an end, I would like to thank all those who sent in contributions.

I'm very pleased with the coverage it has received this year and especially the number of school level activities. I particularly like the way it has been spontaneously celebrated in schools in the USA and the UK. Even where specific celebrations were not held, for example in Uruguay and Panama, the occasion of the Day was used to prepare media reports highlighting the importance of milk in schools.

If anyone else would like to send in their impressions of the Day ... including what the main benefits of holding celebrations were ... I would be happy to send them out.

Finally, I encourage members to send in discussion topics and information/articles. Remember, the List depends on your participation - and I don't mean by just being a passive reader (hello, hello, anyone there?).

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Michael
