Having had a very successful World Milk Day - summary report will follow shortly - it's now time to turn our attention to World School Milk Day.
Discussion on starting both these days took place on the FAO e-fora in June and July 2000; arising out of this, it was decided to hold the first World School Milk Day in September 2000 (last Wednesday of the month) and the first World Milk Day the following June (2001). Background information on World School Milk Day can be found at: http://www.fao.org/economic/est/est-commodities/dairy/school-milk/14th-world-school-milk-day-wsmd/en/
In order to provide inspiration for planning celebrations, here is a summary of last year's events:

As with World Milk Day, the large number and wide geographic distribution of countries celebrating World School Milk Day illustrate its universal appeal.
Send us news of your planned celebrations, so that we can circulate them to the List and perhaps spur others to follow your example.
