The management of L and Z integrated Farms has hosted community members, cattle breeders associations and other stakeholders in the dairy business as part of the third World Milk Day celebrations organised by the farm.

Speaking during the event, Managing Director L and Z Farms, Muhammad Damakka Abubakar, stated that the World Milk Day was celebrated across the world on June 1 to increase public awareness about all aspects of the natural milk such as its natural origin, nutritional value, and its economic importance.
He said that unless modern diary techniques were adopted, globally, diary production will continue to witness reduction in quantity and other problems.
He revealed that in the farm's attempt to integrate breeders into the modern form of breeding milk, cows were given free to some households within the company's host community of Fari, adding that the benefiting households have already began supplying the farm with fresh milk for processing.
Speaking, the Chairman of Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, Kano Branch, and former military administrator of Sokoto State, Group Captain Rufa'i Garba, commended the company for integrating cattle breeders into its operations, adding that the company has done a lot to transform.
A paper presented by the farm's artificial insemination expert, Usman A. Usman, the cattle breeders were urged to use the opportunity to form an association so as to benefit from interventionist programmes in the sector.
