As part of its efforts to diversify the economy, the priority of the Government of Azerbaijan is stimulating growth of agricultural sector. To this end, a project funded by the European Union and implemented by FAO is supporting development of an agricultural advisory services system that is well-coordinated, demand-driven and that facilitates innovations through stakeholder networks of knowledge exchange, collaborations, and partnerships as to be better able to respond to current and future challenges in the agricultural sector and ultimately improve rural livelihoods while protecting and enhancing the natural environment. Discussions will be held as to how the transformations of the Azerbaijani advisory service system initiated by the project can be further sustained and scaled up.
The event will be held in English. Interpretation in Azerbaijani will be available.
