Responding to Henry Lutaaya (Message 6), I do not think the comment about public opinion was in reference to acceptability in the market place, but rather was to the role, if any, public opinion should have in the regulatory process. I happen to agree that the regulatory assessment and decision should be made based on scientific data and not on public opinion. If something is safe then it should be allowed to go to market. If the public doesn't like the taste, then it will not succeed in the market place. James D.
