Dear all,
- FAO/INFOODS Analytical Food Composition Database Version 1.0 (AnFooD1.0) (PDF) (Excel)
The FAO/INFOODS Analytical Food Composition Database is a global compendium of scrutinized analytical data (without any additional estimations, imputation or calculation of missing values) for commonly consumed foods. It allows
food composition database compilers to easily retrieve analytical data of good quality and to incorporate them into their databases (by citing the source). It can also be helpful to assess other analytical data if they are within a reasonable range.
I would like to sincerely thank all those who contributed to it, especially Doris Rittenschober.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all members of INFOODS and FAO staff working on food composition for their contribution to INFOODS’ work making 2012 a very successful year with a lot of new publications and databases:
- FAO/INFOODS Guidelines for Converting Units, Denominators and Expressions Version 1.0 (2012)
- FAO/INFOODS Guidelines for Food Matching - Version 1.2 (2012)
- FAO/INFOODS Guidelines for checking food composition data prior to publication of a user table/database (2012)

- FAO/INFOODS Analytical Food Composition Database Version 1.0 (AnFooD1.0) (PDF) (Excel)
Please distribute them as widely as possible.
