Subject: GBEP Bioenergy Week - 18-23 March 2013 Brasilia: draft agenda and logistical note - #NRC-ENERGY
Dear Partners and Observers,
We are pleased to circulate the draft agenda of the GBEP “Bioenergy Week”, to be held in Brasilia, Brazil on 18-23 March 2013. Please note that it has been postponed of a week with respect to previously communicated dates.
Please find attached also a logistical note with a list of recommended hotels and other useful information for your stay in Brasilia: participants are responsible for making their own travel and hotel arrangements. We encourage participants to book hotels and to apply for visas, if necessary, at their earliest convenience. According to Brazilian regulations, it is not possible to grant visas upon arrival. Brazilian Embassies and Consulates are authorized to issue visas upon presentation of the GBEP letter invitation. Please let the GBEP Secretariat know as soon as possible if you need a letter of invitation for these purposes.
You are kindly requested to confirm your participation in the GBEP “Bioenergy Week” by 28 February 2013. We would like to gently remind you that 28 February is also the deadline for submitting your comments on the draft scope and programme of work of the Activity Group 4 “Towards sustainable modern wood energy development” and Activity Group 5 “The Global Renewable Energy Atlas – Bioenergy Component”.
Finally, we are glad to inform you that general PPTs on GBEP are available - in English, French and Spanish - on the “My GBEP” section of the website for your use when participating in international relevant conferences to disseminate the programme of work of GBEP. To access the “My GBEP” section you need to insert username and password: should you not have one yet, please contact the GBEP Secretariat.
Kind regards,
