24 HOUR CHAT: THE WORLD WE WANT FOR GIRLS
Recent developments from FAO: YUNGA, 5th March 2013

This International Women’s Day (Friday, the 8th of March), the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGS) is organizing a 24 hour Chat to increase awareness on girls’ and young women’s rights. Recommendations from around the world on how to make these rights a reality will be gathered, and will contribute to the World We Want for Girls!
Crossing eight time zones from the Philippines to Costa Rica, eight young women will moderate discussions on education for girls, violence against girls and young women, decent job opportunities for young women and girls’ and young women’s participation in the development of the post-2015 agenda.
