As you might know, FAO/INFOODS is developing a global user database on fish and shellfish. We have included all analytical data found in the international scientific literature that we found and which were of sufficient quality. They are included in the
FAO/INFOODS Food Composition Database for Biodiversity - Version 2.0 (BioFoodComp2.0)
and in FAO/INFOODS Analytical Food Composition Database Version 1.0 (AnFooD1.0). We also received some data sets from countries (analysed for the national food composition table/database FCT/FDCB), which
are highly useful and were really appreciated. For completing missing data we are using published FCT/FCDBs.
We are well advanced and intend to publish the global database on fish and shellfish in 2013. In case you have analytical datasets that you would be willing to share, I would be grateful of you could send them to me so that we could increase the quality
of our data. In case they are not yet published, you might wish share them with us with the restriction that we can only use them in means but not as sole data source.
I am looking forward to receive analytical data on fish and shellfish with relevant documentation (please note that data without documentation cannot be included).
