The Chinese Academy of Sciences is offering Sholarships and post-docs 
for scientists from developing countries.

Travel in economy classfrom the applicants' home country is paid by CAS 
(Chinese Academy of Sciences) up to a maximum of 15,000 RMB. Medical 
insurance and housing are the responsibility of the applicants 
themselves. The EOD (entry on duty) date can be mutually agreed upon. 
The monthly salaries listed below are subject to Chinese income tax, and 
the indicated net salary could change slightly if taxation rules are 
modified, which we cannot predict!

*Scholarships **(Short term visiting professor; senior applicants welcome!)*

_Duration_:3-6 months
_Deadline for submission_: 16^th of September
_S__alary_: 22,000 RMB/month (approx. 18,705 RMB after tax)

*Post-docs*

_Duration_: 2 years
_Deadline for submission_: 16th of September
_Salary_: 12,500 RMB/month (approx. 11,515 RMB after tax)

If your background is in remote sensing, GIS, agrometeorology, physical 
geography, agronomy etc and if you are interested in working on crop 
monitoring and forecasting (mostly satellite-based) with Prof. Wu 
Bingfang ([log in to unmask]) in Beijing, kindly drop a line to Xue Shuyi

form cannot be attached to this post!). It will save some time if you

* Scan of the first page of passport
* Scan of doctoral diploma
* Detailed Curriculum vitae(including published Science Citation Index 
papers, patents and international conference reports)
