HAPPY HUMAN RIGHTS DAY!
Recent developments from FAO: YUNGA, 10th December 2013
Happy Human Rights day!
Human Rights apply to every person living in the world – regardless of their age, gender, background or race. As Nelson Mandela said: “to deny people their human rights is to challenge their very humanity”.
For human rights to be recognized and upheld, good governance is needed. For this reason, YUNGA is developing a Governance Challenge Badge, which will soon be ready for pilot testing.

The badge is intended for children and young people from 5 to 20 years of age and will raise awareness, educate, and encourage individuals to learn about decision-making processes, human rights and good governance. Before the badge is finalized, pilot-testing is undertaken to ensure that its contents are relevant, interesting and user-friendly.
If you would like to be one of the first to test the Governance badge with your school or group, please contact us at [log in to unmask]. All the resources and materials will be sent to you shortly.
