Subject: Only three months away -- local conservation highlighted at global congress

Sent on behalf of Karen Scanlon, executive director of the Conservation Technology Information Center.

Dear Conservation Advocate,

As a leader on the front lines advocating for conservation and sustainability, you have a great deal of influence on growers and your partners in conservation agriculture efforts. We are reaching out to you with a unique opportunity to participate in the 6th World Congress on Conservation Agriculture (WCCA) to be held June 22-25, 2014, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The conference is focused on practical conservation applications and new techniques attendees can take home to their farms or regions. These applications and techniques will help conserve soil, water and other natural resources while providing economic returns.

Please consider helping us by promoting this event through your channels. We have an excellent lineup of champions for conservation for the conference. WCCA’s themes include:

* Growing More, More Efficiently
* Weatherproofing Crops
* Increasing Adoption Through Innovation

Check out www.wcca6.org for more information and to register. Early bird registration with discounted rates is open for just a few more weeks.

We’ve attached a few files that provide you some materials to help promote the conference. These include:

  1. a short written summary of the conference
  2. a four-slide PowerPoint presentation
  3. an ad that is available for your use in newsletters
  4. a few website buttons for use on websites or in newsletters
  5. a logo for the 6th WCCA

WCCA also has a Facebook page and Twitter account to follow for more information on the event.

Thank you for your assistance in supporting and promoting this event. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to assist you in your efforts. You also can contact CTIC’s communications director, Elise Brown, at [log in to unmask] or 765-494-6956 with any questions.

We look forward to hosting WCCA and know it can be a great success with the help of local organizations and leaders like you.

Sincerely,

Karen Scanlon
