HLPE Reports – background for the CFS 41 Policy Round TablesHLPE Report No 7 on Sustainable Fisheries and Aquaculture for Food Security and Nutrition will be launched during the Committee on Fisheries (COFI) on the morning of Friday 13th June 2014. HLPE Report No 8 on Food Losses and Waste in the Context of Sustainable Food Systems will be launched on the afternoon of Thursday 3rd July 2014. Principles for Responsible Agricultural Investments – CFS-RAIThe first draft is available at this link: http://www.fao.org/cfs/rai This will be the basis for the negotiations which will take place in FAO, Rome from 19-23 May 2014. The objective is to reach consensus on a final version to be presented to CFS 41 for endorsement. |

Agenda for Action for Addressing Food Insecurity in Protracted Crises (CFS-A4A)The inputs received during the Global Consultation held in Addis Ababa, and from the previous Open-ended Working Group, are being incorporated in the First Draft. An e-consultation on the Zero Draft is from 12-23 May. VG-GT 2 Years On – Where We Are and Where We Are GoingOn the second anniversary of the endorsement of The Voluntary Guidelines on the Responsible Governance of Tenure of Land, Fisheries and Forests in the Context of National Food Security – the VG-GT – CFS hosted a panel discussion and Sharefair. Global presentations were made by FAO, IFAD, the EU, civil society and the private sector. Country case studies were presented by Sierra Leone, Guatemala and the Philippines. |
