School Milk List is a service of FAO’s Trade and Markets Division
Dear Dr Srikant D Kalyan Kumar
Thanks for raising the topic of celebration of world milk Day in rural India .
While the awareness regarding the world milk day is lacking in urban India , seeking suggestion on innovative ways to celebrate world milk day in rural India certainly calls for appreciation .
The basic thing which we may do is to make an awareness drive for the milk producers through village level collection centre/ societies. This may be done through decorating the collection centre on 1st June with a message of world Milk Day complimenting the farmers on the role played by them towards making milk available to the urban consumers placed through a banner so that each of the producer comes across the message on world milk Day .
Thanks .
