1. Yes, I do. actually, in Somalia unsuitable  varieties of seeds are provided in form of aid which is very popular because the local farmers are not consulted on how seeds should be distributed. Farmers are more knowledgeable  than some seed aid distributors. ADRO recommends that farmers should be included in the processes of seeds aid provisions.

ADRO organization has witnessed these cases in South and Central Somalia. And to improve, ADRO advise that seeds aid distributions should be participatory process where all stakeholders have to share all he related information of seeds aid provisions.

2. No, I do not think that seed security of the affected population is well assessed prior to the interventions because of various factors ignored. We, ADRO organization, want to improve this by conducting participatory and comprehensive seed security assessments and share the results with all the stakeholders including local farmers, local partners and international partners, including FOA.

3. Sometimes, views of the affected populations are not considered by humanitarian actors before interventions. The humanitarian actors are not always accessible in the farming area because the high level of insecurity there. Besides of security issues, the residents of the farming areas are not communicated well as they misunderstand the language employed.
