As Transboundary Animal Diseases (TADs) increasingly threaten global public and animal health, coordination between countries and regions has become essential. China, Mongolia and the Russian Federation have been cooperating to control TADs since FAO implemented the project ‘Cross Border Trade and TADs Risk Reduction with a special focus on foot-and-mouth disease (FMD)’ in 2011.
