In spring 2014, Tetra Pak invited all German primary schools to take part in the creative competition "Joe Clever's quest for the most original cow". As a contribution to World Schoolmilk Day 2014, the pupils were asked to design, build, model or paint a cow. Not just any cow, but something truly special! By participating in this project, the children were also given the opportunity to think about the importance of drinking schoolmilk as part of a healthy school diet.

Fifty schools entered the competition, all of them with very creative contributions. Finally the jury nominated three winners. Due to the high quality of all entries, the first prize was awarded three times. The primary school in Alsdorf-Blumenrath won the competition by designing an approximately two meter high "Yoga-Cow" which was mainly built out of empty milk cartons. The primary school in Eggesin was awarded one of three first prizes by creating two wonderful cows as a wedding couple: bride "Else" and her groom "Otto". Their cows main frames were also built using empty milk cartons which were then coated with paper and painted. The third winner of the competition was the Albert-Schweitzer-School in Ginsheim-Gustavsburg whose pupils designed and built a cow completely out of waste and recycling materials.
