Crestline Elementary School celebrated World School Milk Day Wed., Sept. 24 with milk mustache stickers for everyone.
Lunchroom staffers, teachers, students, principal Robin Varwig and even Hartselle Superintendent Dr. Vic Wilson sported milk mustaches in the lunchroom in honor of the wellness initiative.
Chocolate and white inflatable cows decorated the cafeteria, and students were encouraged to pick out names for each, with an official name being voted on at the end of the day.
The lunchroom staff placed dots on the bottom of random milk cartons, and those students who found a dot were awarded a gold dollar.
The Food and Agricultural Organization created World School Milk Day to focus attention on school milk with celebrations in countries around the globe highlighting the health benefits of milk on the last Wednesday in September each year.
Crestline and its students became Fuel Up with Milk Champions.
