Dear Siva, In Japan, most of peanut butter contains sugar and shortening. So they may be <90% nuts. I am not sure about the difference between Chinese peanuts and Australian. But if we compare big Virginia type to small Spanish type, there is a slight difference in fatty acid composition. http://www.mext.go.jp/b_menu/shingi/gijyutu/gijyutu3/toushin/05031801/004/004.pdf (please refer to Item No. 05034 and 05034a ) ***************************************************** Ryoko KAWAI Director, Office for Resources Policy Division Science and Technology Policy Bureau Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology(MEXT), JAPAN ***************************************************** 送信元: Siva Sivakumaran <[log in to unmask]> 宛先: [log in to unmask], 日付: 2014/10/21 15:17 件名: Peanuts 送信者: Food Composition Discussion Group <[log in to unmask]> Dear All Peanut butter - products (even store brands) approximately >95% nuts?
