FAO Associate Professional Officer Program

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Foreign Agricultural Service sponsors qualified U.S. citizens for participation in the United Nations Associate Professional Officer program. This program recruits American citizens under a bilateral agreement between the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations (UN) and United States government to work for the FAO on agriculture development and capacity building projects for up to two years, with a possibility of an extension, depending on the APO's performance and available funding.
