A nutritionist of our Salt Program team, Adrian Fatjo, estimated the Front of Package Labels (FOP) for Typical Christmas Dishes in Costa Rica. These may be homemade or purchased in the supermarket. Please find attached: · If all preparations are eaten in a single meal time (as usually done) · For individual preparations (for ex. when going back for seconds) The foods are called "tamal" (maize´s puree with chopped meats and vegetables, all wrapped in banana leafs-you don't eat leaf!), "rompope" (eggnog) and Christmas cake. Our goal is to raise awareness in the population on the high content of nutrients and the recommendation of consuming them in moderation during holidays. A sincere thanks to all the contributions you were able to provide, small or big, constant or ad hoc, it does not matter. The importance is that we all contribute something which is feasible for each of us.
