School Milk List is a service of FAO’s Trade and Markets Division

The best source for the needed information is to get in touch with the proceedings of the 3rd International School Milk Conference held in Kunming, China and the 1st Eastern and Southern Africa School Milk Conference held in Kampala Uganda. Both conferences were held in 2005.

I think Michael can supply the appropriate link to these proceedings. I think these were the last in the series of International School milk conferences.

Hello Charles,

Thank you for your message … and also participation in these conferences.

The links are as follows:

FAO School Milk Home Page

South Africa: School Milk Conference, 2006

Uganda: School Milk Conference, 2005

China: School Milk Conference, 2005

The South Africa conference held in 2006 was the last in the series, which also began in South Africa, in 1998, and encompassed nearly 20 meetings during a nine year period.

Dear all,

I am writing a book chapter about a school yogurt program in Tanzania and its collaboration with smallholder farmers. I am wondering if any of you have publications, or information relating to school milk programs in Africa, or the developing world in general? I am interested to read about experiences in other countries on how they coordinate, fund, include small dairy farmers etc. in school milk programs.

Best wishes,

Helene
