Launched in October 2013, LinkTADs research consortium is a 3-year initiative coordinated by FAO and funded under the European Commission's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7), which aims to coordinate research on animal disease control (i.e. epidemiology and laboratory diagnostics) between 11 partners from the European Union (EU) and China. An inception workshop today in Ha Noi has kicked-off a FAO-supported project to develop a well-functioning livestock monitoring system in Viet Nam.
