Dear IPROMO alumni members,
I am very pleased to inform you that the lectures and participants presentations from the recent IPROMO course on Food Security in Mountain Areas are now on-line. As always, you are encouraged to make good use of them, feel free to share them with your colleagues and as you see appropriate.
This Alumni network aims at bringing together the participants, instructors and organisers of the IPROMO programme in order to help the IPROMO group to stay in touch, facilitate further discussion and stimulate joint action on mountain issues. The Alumni Network has now reached – especially in some countries/regions - a critical mass that allows to start forming small mountain teams that could help promote mountain development at national and regional level.
It will also provide “mountain friends” in a foreign country or in a different organization, whenever needed.
An excel file is provided as attachment in which all students and instructors are listed by country to facilitate communication and exchange. Also, the Mountain Partnership governmental focal points are listed and contact details are provided. Please identify your national focal point if any and you may want to get in contact with him/her. If your Country is not listed it is because it is not yet a member of the Mountain Partnership. This information can be double check under the member section of the Mountain Partnership website. Feel free to encourage your Government to join.
If you have any query or corrections regarding this Alumni Network, please do not hesitate to contact me. Should you find mistakes or incomplete information please send an email to me (only).
There is also an IPROMO Facebook page and if you are not yet a member, you are encouraged to join it.
This network has been set up for you – please use it to exchange ideas and views, to build alliances and new collaboration and to suggest joint activities.
Allow me to thank all the instructors and participants to this 2015 IPROMO edition – we had, once again, an excellent course thank to your enthusiasm, professionalism and commitment!
Kind regards to all and let’s stay in touch,
Rosalaura
