Dear Members, We are now in the final week of the discussion “Food Security and Nutrition in APEC Economies. Sharing lessons learned and looking into the future” and we would like to share with you the comments received during these last days. As you know, the exchange complemented the APEC Food Security Training and Workshop hosted by the Chinese Academy of Agriculture Sciences in Beijing on September 7-9, 2015. The organizers have now prepared an overall summary of the meeting. In addition, you can have a look at the detailed reports of Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3 of the workshop, the list of participants and download the presentations used by the lecturers. The Food Security situation in Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) economies is very diverse and precisely because of this a lot can be learned by sharing experiences. We therefore invite you to take advantage of these last days of discussion to learn from others and contribute your views on: · How can smallholder farmers benefit from global value chains? · What are the challenges for policy implementation in your country related to food security research? · How can we ensure the participation of youth in the wider food security dialogue? · What is the most striking example of measures that have improved food security and nutrition in your country in the last decade? Please visit the discussion website to see all comments received to date and to read the introductory message, which is available in English, French, Spanish and Chinese. Please send your comments in any of these four languages to [log in to unmask] or post them online on the discussion page. We look forward to receiving your comments! Your FSN Forum team |
