The Project seeks to develop sustainable livelihoods and promote an ecosystem approach to fisheries in these areas. Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico and Suriname are the six countries that have committed to improving their shrimp trawl fisheries through this initiative. However, results and impacts are expected to spill over to surrounding countries.
