The School Milk list is a service of FAO’s  Trade and Markets Division

The Island of Jersey, British Crown Dependency, participated in World School Milk Day for the very first time yesterday. Our government stopped supporting the delivery of free milk to schools in 2010.

Yesterday was our chance as the Island’s dairy processor to offer free milk to children, and we delivered 6,000 specially designed bottles to 35 schools.

The event had media coverage on television and radio, with children actively involved in promoting WSMD.

Thank you FAO for such a great initiative.
