Please see herebelow a brochure on the latest book by David Montgomery and Anne Bikle entitled
The Hidden Half Nature: The Microbial Roots of Life and Health. David tells me that the tag line they have been using for The Hidden Half is Mulch
your soil—inside and out!.
He also informs me that the Newsletter website name "dig 2 grow"
is intended metaphorically (and a bit of a pun) -- about digging into
science and history to learn things. It's not about digging or tilling the soil.
David is working on a new book at the moment that focuses on
Conservation Agriculture through visits to farms around the world last
year. He says that "after seeing the principles of Conservation Agriculture in action on both "conventional-ish" and organic farms I'm
convinced that it is the way to unify progress on farms big and small,
in developed and developing countries."
