Dear Members,

The new online discussion Urbanization, Rural Transformation and Implications for Food Security started attracting the first comments, which we would like to share with you below.

This discussion, organized jointly with the Committee on World Food Security (CFS), invites you to join the elaboration of a background document that the CFS Secretariat is preparing to support the discussions at the Forum on Urbanization, Rural Transformation and Implications for Food Security to be held at CFS 43 in October 2016.

The Forum will be an opportunity to discuss how urbanization and the transformation of agriculture, food systems and rural spaces affect growth, poverty eradication, economic, environmental and social sustainability, and food security and nutrition.

As always, you can access the discussion page with the full introduction in English, French and Spanish and take part in either one of these three languages.

Looking forward to your comments,

Your FSN Forum team
