Dear Colleagues,

The Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) of the United Nations FAO has the pleasure to invite you to the webinar on “Demonstration of the GLEAM-i tool for estimating IPCC Tier 2 greenhouse gas emissions in the livestock sector” which will be held on Wednesday, 20 April from 15:00 to 16:30 (CEST - Rome).

The objectives of the webinar are to

  • Provide a full demonstration on how to use the tool for analytical work on GHG in the livestock sector, inventories and scenario assessment;
  • Disseminate GLEAM-i among different user groups: project planners, government officials, private sector, academia and civil society organizations; and
  • Collect feedback from user groups on the tool and the user guide.

Register for the webinar at https://bit.ly/enrol_GLEAM

GLEAM-i is a user-friendly tool that can be used to support the preparation of greenhouse gas inventories, project design and evaluation, as well as analytical work on emissions. GLEAM-i is based on IPCC-Tier2 computation guidelines and benefits from the in-built GLEAM database of parameters and activity data, which can easily be adapted by the user to match specific conditions.

GLEAM-i was designed to support governments, project planners, scientists, producers, industry and civil society organizations working on livestock and climate change.

The webinar is organized for stakeholders working on livestock and climate change issues including officials from the ministries of agriculture and environment, project planners, producers, industry academia and civil society organizations

We strongly encourage you to download the GLEAM-i prior the webinar and test it. Download GLEAM-i  and  learn more at: https://bit.ly/resources_GLEAM

We are very much looking forward to your participation on Wednesday 20 April at 15:00 (CEST).

On behalf of the organizers,

Armine
