Dairy Outlook is a service of FAO’s Trade and Markets Division
Dear list members and Michael,
I have seen several e-mails about the World Milk Day in different countries and I had an idea when I read the one about India.
As a journalist of this area here in Brazil, I would like very much to be able to write an article about the development of milk production in India (cow and buffalo), consumption by the population, production systems, researches, and the evolution of the industry. We know little here about this and the country grows in importance in this area (and other also).
I've done a report like this about China with the help of a professor at Beijing University who I met at an event in Edinburgh, Scotland. I sent questions to him by e-mail , he answered me and also sent me back some studies and photos.
The article would be for the Balde Branco Magazine (http://baldebranco.com.br/) , the oldest dairy publication in my country that stills alive (has 51 years, in the beginning was owned by a big milk cooperative in the São Paulo state). It has good circulation in Brazil and it is focused on dairy farmers and technicians.
I would like to know if anyone could help me? Maybe one or two researchers or technicians (one could talk more about production systems and the other about industry, market etc).
Thank you all and I am waiting for an answer as soon as possible,
Best regards,
Luiz H. Pitombo
