Hi,

The following is a question from one of my colleagues here at Health Canada who needs some help setting guidelines on new formula products for young children.

Thanks,

Subject: International Values for Energy, Protein, Fat  and Carbohydrate Content of Whole Cows' Milk

Hello Josie,

Thank you for your help today.

The information we are looking for is for international values for energy, protein, fat and carbohydrate content of whole cows' milk.
We would request lower and upper bound, and the mean value.
If only protein and fat are available, this information would still be most useful to us.
(We are already aware of USDA values).

We are involved with a Codex Alimentarius' project to revise Standard 156 on follow up formulas for young children, and need these values to comment on the most desirable nutritional composition.

Thank you,

Deborah
