Risk analysis in animal health is a multi-sector, trans-disciplinary approach to objectively and scientifically assess, manage and communicate animal health risks and consequences associated for animal production, human health, food security and livelihoods
(Center for Animal Health and Food Safety, University of Minnesota). Risk analysis was identified by the World Trade Organization (WTO), in the Sanitary and Phytosanitary agreement in 1994, as an effective tool to manage human, animal or plant life risks and
to avoid unjustifiable barriers to trade.
These webinars/seminars aim to inform on the different components of Animal Health Risk Analysis, their use, importance and impact.
See here what Julio Pinto, Animal Health Officer at
FAO, says about Animal Health Risk Analysis.
We look forward to your participation!
