Dear all,

I have the pleasure to announce that we have a new coordinator and vice coordinator in ASEANFOODS. Kunchit Judprasong from Thailand, whom most of us will know since many years, was elected the ASEANFOODS coordinator and Le Hong Dung from Viet Nam as vice coordinator. I would like to congratulate both sincerely for their new positions and I am looking forward to working with them.

 

At the same occasion I would like to extend my full gratitude to Prapasri who has served as ASEANFOODS coordinator since almost 30 years. I am sure that many will join me in thanking Prapasri (privately) for all her hard work (which by the way she is continuing) during all these years. She has done outstanding work on food composition, not only in ASEANFOODS but also for the whole world: analysed foods, developed reference material, was expert in many technical and expert meetings on many different topics, organized training courses and mentored young scientists, organized ASEANFOODS meetings, nurtured all national partners in her regional data center, authored national/ regional food composition tables and many scientific articles, provided valuable inputs into FAO/INFOODS guidelines, was always answering to any question we challenged her with….and so much more I cannot list all without  not forgetting at least one thing. So I will stop here.  Thanks you Prapasri from the full of my heart for all the work and the smiles you so generously distributed all around you.

 

Looking forward to a continuous great collaboration with ASEANFOODS, and congratulation again to Kunchit and Dung
