Dear Members,

I am working in compositional studies of coconut milk. All of us aware coconut milk is an emulsion of lipids and proteins in water and for any proximates or sugar or phenolics  analysis it is essential to remove fat completely from the milk.

I tried petroleum ether by liquid/liquid partitioning, but it is not giving proper result. Then tried Methanol:Chloroform mixture. That also not giving proper result. Since I want the residue after removing fat for other analysis, kindly suggest any protocol which can work exclusively for removal of fat from liquid solutions without any loss of other nutrients/biochemical.

regards,
