Dear Margareta,
Attached please find our FFF Phase II Proposed Programme Document with the request that Sida kindly consider it for renewed funding. We hope it lays out clearly our very ambitious vision for Climate Resilient
Landscapes and Inclusive Rural Livelihoods Ensured through Forest and Farm Producer Organizations. We feel we have a unique contribution we can make to helping FFPOs take center stage in the delivery of climate change responses and integrating into more inclusive
value chains and thicken the rural economy so that their livelihoods are improved. We have developed good experience as a proven delivery mechanism to get resources directly the FFPOs to let them take the lead in transforming their own lives and the forest
and farms they depend on. We also feel we have developed useful skills and insights on helping government work across sectors more effectively. Taking gender, youth and Indigenous peoples as a major focus will help address their unacceptable marginalization
and the many barriers they face as anchors for a rural transformation. We feel strongly that FFPOs can play a much more prominent role with the right support and conditions.
We very much value Sida’s support and would more than appreciate any feedback you might have and are ready to provide any additional information, clarifications that might be needed. We hope to share this
with other donors, beginning with Finland and Canada and hopefully with the EU and others very soon.
Looking forward to seeing you soon at the Donor Support Group and Steering Committee meetings of the FFF. We wouldn’t have come this far without Sida and your special support and accompaniment.
Best,
Jeff
