Dear everyone Great notes Svea and sorry I had to shoot off rather abruptly. I was chairing the next meeting too so difficult to go overtime. I was also thinking on the assessment of PO needs for business support that Jeff mentioned in the meeting. I think this will be an important assessment to do before any implementation in countries, and ideally combined with an assessment of the main constraints and service needs identified as a result of the MA&D trainings. Phase 4 in particular will have picked this up. I think Guatemala in particular had some findings to share regarding this. This is slightly outside the scope of the study but an important activity to undertake in particular to inform Phase 2 activities. So the way I see it there is on the one hand a question of getting information on different service needs and on the other on where we are with the businesses we have started supporting already. I have suggested this before in particular for the MA&D but it is mainly a question of follow up on the outcomes of the training (which includes financing and services needs)- we are in phase 4 so what kind of support has been identified as needed? For the service needs of the PO's, what are the outcomes of needs assessments carried out so far from countries? What is the outcome of the organisational strengthening assessments? I have a feeling we have done a bit of work on this already so it would be good to see what we can build on. I think this will bridge activities from this year into the next. Might I suggest that someone in the team in Rome take a lead on collecting information what has already been done in regards to both the MA&D follow up and the assessment of what services PO businesses actually need and wants. We can then come up with a plan from there to fill the gaps or design a new assessment for follow up in countries. How does that sound?
