We are pleased to inform the 2017 release of the NZFCD products are now available on the website www.foodcomposition.co.nz.
There are two versions of the data files in the New Zealand FOODfiles 2016 V 01:
Ø A standard version that contains information for 83 components of 2631 foods. Some foods do not have data for all 83 components because the number of core components has changed overtime.
Ø An unabridged version that contains information of up to 360 food components of the same (2631) foods listed in the standard version.
The 12th Edition of the Concise New Zealand Food Composition Tables contains information on 34 food components for 1063 foods and drinks. The Concise Tables are a subset of data from the New Zealand Food Composition Database. The Concise Tables are intended to be a quick reference on the nutrient content of foods and drinks that are commonly consumed in New Zealand. They are available in both PDF and Microsoft Office Excel 2007 formats.
New Zealand Food Composition Data for Nutrition Information Panel (NZFCD-NIP) is an online tool designed to assist food manufacturers in estimating NIPs for their products. The NZFCD-NIP database, which is updated at the same time as FOODfiles, presents seven core nutrients for 2574 foods and ingredients.
