Dear colleagues,

First, we would like to express our sincere gratitude for the interest you have had in the Glinka World Soil Prize.

We have received eleven nominations from different regions of the world.

The Selection Committee (composed by the ITPS and GSP Plenary Assembly Chairs and the Chairs of the Regional Soil Partnerships) have worked hard in assessing the different nominees according to the criteria set in the call.

After a very rigid assessment process, the Selection Committee has determined that the winner of the Glinka World Soil Prize 2017 is: Argentine No Till Farmers Association (Aapresid).

The award will be presented to the winner during the World Soil Day 2017 celebration to take place at FAO HQ in Rome, Italy on 5th of December 2017. You may find the webcast by following this link: http://www.fao.org/webcast/home/en/item/4557/icode/

We look forward to your continuous support and interest in this Prize.

My best regards,

Ronald Vargas Rojas
