Dear all, I have the pleasure to announce that T. Longvah from the National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) in Hyderabad in India has been appointed as new global vice coordinator of INFOODS. Due to my move to the regional FAO office in Chile I will have less time to devote to food composition and it was felt necessary that more assistance is needed to put INFOODS forward globally. As Longvah was SAARCFOODS coordinator we decided that a new SAARCFOODS coordinator should be appointed. I am happy to announce that Rajendran Ananthan, also from NIN, will take over this position. I would like to warmly thank Longvah for his engagement and achievements as SAARCFOODS coordinator and welcome him as new global vice coordinator of INFOODS. I also like to welcome Ananthan as SAARCFOODS coordinator. I hope that both will assist other countries to publish their new or updated food composition tables in the near future including new analytical data, and/or initiate other food composition related activities.
