We would like to inform you about the upcoming
Annual Eurasian Food Security Conference, which will take place in
Moscow on 02-04 October 2018.
The conference is being organized by our partners of the
Eurasian Center for Food Security with support from the
World Bank, the International Food Policy Research
Institute (IFPRI), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the
International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA). The topic of the conference is
Agricultural and Food Systems Transformation for Better Food Security and Nutrition in Eurasia.
Each year this event brings together more than 150 participants, including representatives of regional and international
organizations, scientific and educational institutions, and governments. The Conference will contribute to strengthening cooperation at different levels to address the challenges in the area of food security and nutrition.
The following topics will be discussed at the Conference this year: agricultural and food systems transformation to strengthen food security, ways to reduce the food waste and address climate
change, among other food security challenges facing the Eurasian region.
