*Global CA-CoP* *CONSERVATION AGRICULTURE COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE* *for sustainable agriculture and land management* Dear Subscribers, Please see herebelow a self-explanatory message from Prof. Jeffry Mitchell from University of California, Davis, regarding a video update on recent progress on the NRI Project. Conservation Agriculture systems are present in all continents, involving rainfed and irrigated systems including annual cropland systems, perennial systems, orchards and plantation systems, agroforestry systems, crop-livestock systems, organic production systems and rice-based systems* (more at: www.fao.org/ag/ca). ---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Jeffrey Mitchell <[log in to unmask]> Date: Sun, Aug 26, 2018 at 10:43 PM Subject: Video update on recent progress on the NRI Project in Five Points, CA - August 26, 2018 - https://youtu.be/KuaZ-2Hm63Q August 26, 2018 Folks, As promised, here comes a video update from our recent work down here in Five Points in the NRI Project field. You can see how our garbanzo and tomato harvests went and also some of the considerations we’ve been making regarding how to best prepare things for our next crops using reduced disturbance principles and approaches. The video was made particularly for the group of folks who’re now working together on these sorts of systems in Meridian, Capay, Esparto, Davis, Firebaugh, Hollister, Madera, Chico, Fresno and east of Denair. Several of us have been in recent phone communication about some of the reduced disturbance ideas that are shown in the video and we very much look forward to continuing the good discussion and brainstorming into the future. More to come on all of this soon when we come together for next-stage planning. Special thanks go out to Mark, Connor and Wyatt McKean for help with the garb harvest and Scott Schmidt and Jim Beecher for support on the tomato harvest. We are indebted to you big time. All the best, Jeff https://youtu.be/KuaZ-2Hm63Q ######################################################################## To unsubscribe from the CA-Cop-L list, click the following link: &*TICKET_URL(CA-Cop-L,SIGNOFF);
