Dear Partners and Observers,
We are pleased to be able to share with you the finalised Attribution Paper prepared by our German colleagues. The Paper addresses the cross-cutting issue highlighted by the Task Force on Sustainability – the attribution of the impacts
to bioenergy production and use. It gives a range of potential approaches, as well as detailed guidance for specific indicators, and thus represents an excellent resource for practitioners during the implementation of the GBEP Sustainability Indicators. In
order to streamline guidance, as agreed, some of the contents of the Paper will also be used for the Implementation Guide, planned to be finalized by the end of April.
This final version incorporates all comments and inputs received both via email and during the various teleconferences held. Although further inputs are not requested, if you would like to raise any final concerns on the Paper, they will
be gratefully received up until Tuesday 2 April. If no further concerns are raised, the Paper will be considered accepted by the Partners and Observers.
The GBEP Secretariat would like to take the opportunity to thank the German delegation for its continued support and our colleagues from IFEU and IINAS for providing this indispensable in-kind contribution to the GBEP programme of work.
Kind regards,
GBEP Secretariat
