Dear Sir/Madame, Thank you for your invitation to celebrate the International Mountain Day. Also I am delighted to share that we are organizing the Sustainable Summit Conferences 2020. This event is a key activity of Visit Nepal Year 2020 and jointly hosted by the Nepal Tourism Board. As you can see, it has attracted some prestigious key. Sustainable Summits Conferences 2020 are inspired by the growing pressures on our mountain environments, the need to find solutions to the impacts of such pressures – overcrowding, waste, noise and more – and a drive to uphold values in sustaining these environments. It is being held in Nepal from 1-5 June 2020 to showcase the country’s mountain environment, highlight climate change issues and bring international attention to Nepal’s mountain tourism Details can be found on http://sustainablesummits.org. The conference takes place with a gap of every 2 years. The 2014 Sustainable Summits Conference was held in Golden, Colorado, hosted by the American Alpine Club, co-led by board member Ellen Lapham, and inspired by Roger Robinson of Denali National Park. In August 2016 the New Zealand Alpine Club hosted the event at Aoraki/Mount Cook, and in June 2018 the Petzl Foundation hosted the event in the shadow of Mont Blanc in Chamonix, France www.sustainable-summits2018.org. The event will be hosted by the Nepal Tourism Board under the Ministry of Culture Tourism & Civil Aviation (MoCTCA), as the lead organization and as a key Visit Nepal Year 2020 activity, closely supported by the Climate Alliance of Himalayan Communities, ICIMOD (International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development), WWF (World Wild Life Fund), UNDP, Himalayan Climate Initiative and the Petzl Foundation. I, hereby, would like to invite you at the Conferences. I would recommend early confirmation of participation as we are expecting a good crowd and space will be limited. Please let us know.
