It is our honor to invite you to participate to our international web-conference
Multidimensional resilience – smallholder producers managing risks held 11 June, 2020. The conference is hosted
by Food and Forest Development Finland (FFD), AgriCord and the Forest and Farm Facility (a partnership between FAO, IIED, IUCN and AgriCord) in collaboration with the Asian Farmers’
Association (AFA) and the Pan-African Farmers’ Organization (PAFO). The conference will include a series of web-seminars with pre-recorded and interactive sessions on how to ensure and
increase resilience of smallholder production systems in times of crisis.
Farmers and forest producers face the challenge of how to balance between short term shocks (e.g. Covid-19,
market fluctuation) and long-term risks (e.g. climate change, land degradation). Forest and farm producer organisations (FFPOs) have a crucial role in building their members the ability to cope, accommodate and recover from the effects of various hazards and
stresses in a timely and efficient manner.
On Thursday, 11 June, 2020, the conference will take place
through Zoom from 09:00 to 13:30 (CEST). You can access the conference through the following link:
