Following representation by FFOA to FAO management, FAO has agreed that
whilst retirees ( and staff) are presently denied access to FAO Headquarters (similarly for WFP and IFAD Hqs) retirees will be able to utilise the internal mailboxes for posting their Cigna claims and Pension Fund Certificates of Entitlement (CoE). CoE’s are
expected to be mailed to retiree beneficiaries at the end of June ( not end May as earlier announced).
From 16th June, every
Tuesday and Thursday, from 7:30 am to 10:00 am,
retirees can access the external Reception Pavilion (with mandatory use of masks) only to drop off their envelopes
for Cigna and UNJSPF in the respective boxes. The two boxes are placed inside the area of the Reception Desk, next to the Building Pass delivery area. Wearing
masks and maintaining social distancing are mandatory all the time on FAO grounds.
Retirees are however encouraged to use the electronic submission for their medical claims to the extent possible so as to limit the physical presence on the premises.
Members are reminded that they can contact
Cigna at the following addresses:
It s likely that access to RBA Headquarters will continue to be restricted until at least
20th July as the RBAs exercise caution and prudence in implementing their reopening plans guided by local developments and government advice.
Keep safe and well,
