RECENT ACTIVITIES
Under the WGCB, commitment continues in the various activity groups. Although some changes have had to be made to the annual schedule, one of our core objectives at this time is to provide
adequate possibilities for learning and exchange through virtual meetings and webinars. GBEP has recently hosted three webinars.

This side event will give the opportunity to shed light on the role of bioenergy in the climate goals (including considering the recent IPCC report on Climate Change and Land) and share the experience of
GBEP and other relevant international institutions regarding the joint effort towards sustainable development of bioenergy. More information in the attached agenda and on the

The 2020 Bioenergy Week will enhance learning from positive experiences on sustainable production and use of bioenergy integrated within food production value chains, to support the design and implementation
of bioenergy policies in Africa. Furthermore, it will provide the opportunity to continue a dialogue with the private sector and other stakeholders on ways to improve mutual cooperation towards a more sustainable production and use of bioenergy. More information
