Conservation Agriculture is an ecosystem approach to regenerative sustainable agriculture and land management based on the practical application of context-specific and locally adapted three interlinked principles of: (i) Continuous no or minimum mechanical soil disturbance (no-till seeding/planting and weeding, and minimum soil disturbance with all other farm operations including harvesting);  (ii) permanent maintenance of soil mulch cover (crop biomass, stubble and cover crops); and (iii) diversification of cropping system (economically, environmentally and socially adapted rotations and/or sequences and/or associations involving annuals and/or perennials, including legumes and cover crops), along with other complementary good agricultural production and land management practices.

Dear Gentlemen

For your information.

What was to be a workshop at the University of Manitoba, Canada, has now been transformed into a 5-part webinar series.  If you are like me, the exponential growth of webinar opportunities is overwhelming.  I am thankful  when they assemble them in a recorded format.  Such is the case here.

This is an information/promotional webinar series put on by the fertilizer industry that is focussed on intensive production (tillage/monoculture).  Thus, Conservation Agriculture is not a focus and may not be mentioned.  Regardless, they attempt to update everyone on the latest research for fertilizer and agronomic technology that can be sold to farmers - in this case with African applications.

The 4R system is the Right product, Right rate, Right timing, Right placement of fertilizers.
