The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), has the pleasure to invite you to take part in the
Online Global Dialogue
“Joint action on COVID-19: boosting our global food and agriculture response”, organized by FAO, to be held virtually on 14 July 2020.
The event will discuss the potential of deepening partnership and joint action at a time when we know development strategies and budgets are being realigned in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The objectives of the event are to:
1.
CONSULT with resource partners on priority programme areas to strengthen Food and Agriculture’s response to COVID-19.
2.
DEMONSTRATE opportunities for partnership in responding to the immediate humanitarian food crises, as well as the mid-
and long-term development actions.
3.
MOBILIZE
all forms of resources and partnerships for joint results at country, regional and global level
At the dialogue, FAO Director-General QU
Dongyu will be launching an FAO corporate response package to COVID-19, organized along 7 key themes:
FAO welcomes feedback on
potential joint interests, both thematically and geographically, as well as your preferred partnership modalities.
This global dialogue will be followed by a series of online regional, sub-regional and/or county level dialogues, enabling deeper focus and discussion on specific local perspectives and
priorities.
