Dear Members,
As previously announced, our annual General Assembly meeting is now confirmed for Wednesday,
28 October from 9.30 to 13.00 hours, to be held virtually using Zoom. Please consider this message your invitation to attend. One week before the GA, members having an email address will receive a reminder with the specifications to join the ZOOM session.
The documents for the General Assembly are attached. The Agenda has been streamlined to
adapt to the virtual environment. We have invited representatives to participate in the General Assembly from the UN Joint Staff Pension Fund, CIGNA and the Social Security and HR offices of FAO, IFAD and WFP.
Please recall that if you are unable to attend the meeting, a
Proxy (FFOA/GA/2020/07) should be duly completed, signed and made available to the member who will be representing you at the GA, who should ensure that your Proxy is taken into account as per the following paragraph. .
The Zoom invitation will be sent to all members having an email address and the
quorum will be established at the opening of the GA by relying on the count of participants generated by the platform plus any proxy received as per the above paragraph. As a consequence, the Registration Form will NOT need to be completed and submitted to
FFOA.
You need to be a fully paid member to attend the General Assembly. In this case FFOA
relies on Annual Members self-certification that they be compliant with the payment of their fees.
Access to the General Assembly via Zoom is password protected. You are reminded that
you are responsible for not sharing, disclosing or otherwise divulging the access and its content to any third party without the written consent of FFOA.
A Quick Start Guide for Zoom is attached to provide support if you are not familiar
with this technology.
We look forward to seeing you virtually for our first ever remote General Assembly
during which we will also celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the FFOA (*).
Best Regards,
Edward Seidler
President
